Ramallah, 20 Rajab 1435/19 Mei 2014 (MINA) – The Central Elections Commission (CEC) announced, in a statement on Monday, the completion of the data entry and processing of information of new registrants during the latest registration exercise that took place from 16-20 March 2014.
The total number of registrants in the West Bank and Gaza Strip has reached 1,904,911, i.e. 79.5% of the total eligible registrants who turned 17 years and above, said the statement, CEC official website quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.
The total number of registrants now stands at 1,117,758 (75, 6%), in the WB 787,153 (85, 8%) in Gaza.
Following the data entry process, the CEC has updated the voters’ registry by adding new registrants and cancellation of demises. The updated information is now available at CEC’s webpage www.elections.ps.

Soft copies of the updated data are soon to be handed to representatives of political parties in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
With the completion of this operation, the CEC is now ready to conduct elections within the legal period specified by the law.(T/P02/P04)
