Palestinian Election Commission Holds Journalist Training

Ramallah, MINA – Palestinian Central Election Commission (CEC) and Media Development Center at Birzeit University in West Bank, held training for media coverage journalists on election, for three days, from Saturday, March 16.

In the closing ceremony, Monday, March 18, participation certificates were distributed to 25 journalists who participated in the training, PNN reported.

The participants received training on professional, fair and objective election media coverage, production of election awareness.

In April, two similar trainings were held in Nablus and Gaza in collaboration with the Birzeit Media Development Center and with funding from the Norwegian Government.

The Supreme Constitutional Court in Ramallah issued a decision last December, to dissolve Legislative Council and called for legislative elections within the next six months. (T/Sj/R04)
