Istanbul, 13 Rabiul Akhir 1437/23 January 2016 (MINA) – Several airlines on Saturday cancelled more than 200 flights due to poor weather conditions predicted in the Istanbul area.

In a statement on Turkish Airlines’ website, the national flag carrier said that 175 domestic and international flights would be cancelled from Istanbul’s Ataturk and Sabiha Gokcen airports on Saturday and 35 flights would be cancelled on Sunday due to potential heavy snowfalls, Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) reported, quoting Anadolu Agency.

Pegasus Airlines announced that it has cancelled 37 domestic and international flights for Saturday.

Atlas Jet also said in a statement that it has cancelled eight flights, while Onur Air announced that it cancelled four flights on Saturday.  (T/P010/R07)
