Jakarta, MINA – United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and his wife wishes Happy Eid Al-Adha to all Muslims around the world.
“Susan and I extend our warmest wishes to Muslims around the world who are celebrating Eid al-Adha – from our friends and allies to our Muslim colleagues across the State Department,” he said in a statement received by MINA from the US Embassy, Jakarta, Monday.
He said, Eid al-Adha is a celebration to share gifts, charity and friendship.
Eid al-Adha marks the end of the Hajj, in which millions of Muslims from around the world make the pilgrimage to Mecca and reflect upon the sacrifice and commitment to God made by Abraham. It is a celebration of gift giving, charity, and fellowship.

“The Hajj is also a reminder of our shared commitment to uphold the right of all individuals to freely pursue religious observances.” he added.
Pompeo advised millions of pilgrims who would return to their homeland each home safely.
“For the millions of Hajj travelers returning home, including thousands of Americans, I wish you safe travels. Eid Mubarak,” he said. (R/Ais/P2)
