US DRUNK DRIVER KILLS SAUDI CONSULATE EMPLOYEE, INJURES 2 STUDENTS

Los Angeles, 27 Rabi’ul Awwal 1437/7 January 2016 (MINA) – The Saudi Consulate in Los Angeles stated on Thursday that a drunk driver ran over and killed one of its Saudi employees as well as injured two Saudi students.

According to the consulate statement, the incident, which occurred on Wednesday morning, resulted in the death of Yasser Haif Al-Mutairi. The two injured are Fares Al-Enezi and Abdullah Al-Nimri, International Islamic News Agency (IINA) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

The consulate stressed that it has made the necessary follow-up regarding the circumstances of the incident with the US authorities.

It said that Al-Nimri is expected to be discharged on Thursday. The consulate offered its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased, and it wished the injured a speedy recovery. (T/P006/R07)
