Spain condemns Israel’s Demolition of Palestinian Homes in Bedouin Community east of Jerusalem
Madrid, MINA — The Spanish government denounced the Israeli demolition of Palestinian buildings and structures in the makeshift Bedouin village of Abu Nawar, east of Jerusalem, Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.
The Spanish government in a statement further urged the Israeli authorities to cancel its plans to demolish the Palestinian community of Khan al-Ahmar in Jerusalem; home to more than 180 people, 95 per cent of whom are Palestine refugees.
The statement maintained that these demolitions are contrary to international law, affect poor communities and are a major obstacle to the peace process.
