Al-Quds (Jerusalem), 2 Jumadil Akhir 1436/22 March 2015 (MINA) – Sheikh Ismail Nawahda, a preacher of the Aqsa Mosque, has urged the Muslim peoples to move to help the Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem confront the “crimes” that are committed against them and their holy sites by the Israeli occupation.

In his Friday Khutba (sermon), he slammed the Muslims for their passivity towards what happens to their Palestinian brothers and sisters, and questioned when they would be awake from their slumber and move to defend Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

He stressed that the Muslim peoples, their governments, and institutions must provide the Palestinians with every possible help in order to strengthen their steadfastness in the face of the occupation.

The preacher warned of the escalating Israeli violations that blatantly target the Arab and Islamic history and identity of Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque every day in full view of the whole world.

“The Aqsa Mosque is the crown of our dignity, the icon of our civilization, and the address of our glory, which makes it incumbent upon the Arabs and Muslims to work on protecting and defending it, and liberating it from the obnoxious Zionist occupation,” Sheikh Nawahda underscored.(T/P008/P3)
