Tangerang, MINA—Indonesia’s President Prabowo Subianto emphasized the nation’s vast potential in natural resources and renewable energy, expressing his vision for Indonesia to achieve energy self-sufficiency and emerge as a key global energy supplier.
“We have abundant energy resources, and with today’s advanced technologies, I am very optimistic, not only will we meet our own energy needs, but we will also become a major supplier to the world,” said President Prabowo during the opening of the 49th Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA) Convention on Wednesday.
He highlighted Indonesia’s diverse energy portfolio, including geothermal, hydropower, wind, and ocean energy, which international experts have acknowledged as strategic assets for global energy security.
The president called for stronger collaboration between the government, industry players, and key stakeholders to unlock the country’s energy potential and accelerate the transition toward sustainable energy solutions.

“I welcome the oil and gas industry’s commitment to support the energy transition through various initiatives. Let us work together to achieve our shared energy goals,” he added.
