Ramallah, 21 Rabi’ul Awwal 1436/11 January 2015 (MINA) – Fatah’s popular resistance committee condemned the Israeli Occupation decision to clear the Israeli army of any responsibility for the killing of Palestinian minister Ziad Abu Ein.

The committee considered the decision unjust and unacceptable and voiced its suspicions of the Israeli investigation and its results, Palestine News Network (PNN) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

In a statement, the committee said that the Israeli decision is nothing but a part of a series of continued crimes against the Palestinian people. The committee added that the decision makes the Palestinians more determined to seek justice and fight for it.

The committee blamed the Israeli government for the assassination of Abu Ein demanding an independent international investigation committee to bring those responsible to justice and to reveal the ugly truth the occupation government is trying to hide from the world.

On the other hand, the IDF investigation found the Israeli soldiers innocent justifying that the soldiers acted as required, and accusations of firing gas to disperse the activists in an improper manner were disproved.

However, the report added that Abu Ein’s death will likely continue to be investigated in the IDF’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID) due to the “sensitivity of the issue.”(T/R05/R03)
