Palestine Condemns Construction of New Israeli Homes in Beit El

Ramallah, MINA – Spokesman for Palestinian President, Nabil Abu Rudainah on Thursday condemned the laying of first foundation of 650 new homes in Beit El settlement by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“This damned and unacceptable act contradicts all legitimate international resolutions, especially UN Security Council Resolution 2334, which was adopted unanimously and confirmed illegality of Jewish settlements on Palestinian land,” Abu Rudainah said in a broadcast pers.

He added that “this continuing hostility and provocation is a disregard for international law and necessitates effective decisions, especially after Palestinian leader decides to stop work on agreement with Israel.”

Abu Rudainah, as reported by WAFA said President Mahmoud Abbas instructed Minister of Foreign Affairs to include the matter in documents submitted to the International Criminal Court.

Meanwhile, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement that President Mahmoud Abbas had sent instructions to Riyad Al-Malki to submit cases of illegal Israeli settlement problems to International Criminal Court for action.

The statement added Palestinian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Riyad Mansour was given an order by President to hold talks with Non countries, African Union, Arab and Islamic countries to coordinate next steps in reaction to the plan. (T/Sj/P2)
