MISHAAL, EMIR OF QATAR SLAM ISRAELI ASSAULTS ON AL-AQSA

Doha, 4 Dzulhijjah 1436/17 September 2015 (MINA) – Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and Head of the political bureau of Hamas Khaled Mishaal denounced on Tuesday the mounting Israeli attacks on the al-Aqsa Mosque.

Reaching the Emir of Qatar by phone, Mishaal briefed him on the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories in light of the dangerous Israeli escalation in Occupied Jerusalem, break-ins of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli fanatics, and assaults on the nonviolent worshipers, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

Mishaal appealed to the Emir to work with the international community on taking urgent and effective measures to protect the Palestinian people and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Emir, in turn, strongly denounced the Israeli aggression, acts of provocation in Occupied Jerusalem, and the attempt to divide the Al-Aqsa Mosque, stressing Qatar’s support for the brotherly Palestinian people in facing such aggression.
