ISRAELI FORCES DETAIN YOUTH, CONFISCATE VEHICLE IN SALFIT

Salfit, 19 Rajab 1436/8 May 2015 (MINA) – Israeli forces detained a Palestinian youth, Uday Raed Abu Saif, 21, from the Biddya town in western Salfit as he and his father were leaving the al-Zawiya town in the Salfit district on Thursday.

The father, Raed Abu Saif, said that Israeli soldiers stopped them, asked for their ID cards and told them to get out of their vehicle. Some three hours later they were told that the vehicle would be confiscated, Ma’an News Agency quated by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

Abu Saif said they were held from 9 a.m. until noon.

He said that Israeli soldiers handcuffed his son and took him to an unidentified location, and that they refused to give him any paper declaring that the vehicle was confiscated.

Abu Saif said that the vehicle was legal and that all its papers were correct. He said that he uses the car to distribute bread as he owns a bakery in the Salfit district. (T/P010/R04)
