Israeli Army Kills 2 Palestinians in Gaza Strip

Gaza, MINA – Two Palestinians were killed by Israeli army fire in the Gaza Strip in a flare-up after soldiers were wounded by an improvised explosive device (IED) along the Palestinian enclave’s border, KUNA reported, citing Gaza medical sources Sunday.

The fatalities were identified by the Gaza health ministry as Salam Sabah and Abdullah Abu Sheikha, both 17, who were killed during a strike east of Rafah in southern Gaza.

Their deaths comes after Israel launched a series of air strikes targeting 18 positions belonging to Hamas in the Gaza Strip, after an explosive device wounded soldiers and a projectile from Gaza hit in an Israeli border town.

Jets and a tank targeted sites including Hamas weapon-manufacturing and training infrastructure and a Hamas tunnel, the army said. T/RS5/RS1)
