Occupied Jerusalem, MINA – Israeli forces will impose tight military restrictions on the access of Muslim worshipers to al-Aqsa Mosque on Friday as it coincides with the so called Yom Kippur Jewish holiday.

The PIC reporter said that these security restrictions are aimed at protecting hundreds of settlers who will be storming the holy shrine in order to perform Talmudic rituals at al-Buraq Wall, PIC reported.

He also pointed out that Israeli authorities imposed a hermetic closure on the West Bank and blocked most roads leading to Occupied Jerusalem.

Israeli police announced that over a thousand of border guards and policemen will be deployed in order to back up the forces stationed in the Old City and east of Occupied Jerusalem area to protect Jewish settlers.

According to the police, all the roads leading to the Old City especially Bab al-Khalil are going to be closed on Thursday evening within preparations for Yom Kippur. (R/R04/RS5)
