Al-Quds, 19 Dzulhijjah 1437/22 September 2016 (MINA) – An expert in Israeli settlement affairs warned of an Israeli long-term plan to construct over 56,000 illegal settlement units by 2030.
A head of the Mapping Department at the Arab Studies Society, Khalil Al-Tafakji, said the Israeli occupation government, headed by Benjamin Netanyahu and Avigdor Lieberman, has been waging a Judaization war on Occupied Jerusalem, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reported.
On May 18, 2012 Israel announced a master plan to hold sway over 270 dunums of Palestinian lands in Beit Jala to expand the Gilo illegal settlement, said Tafakji.
He added that the master plan, which aims at constructing 924 settlement units, was approved on August 16, 2013. (T/P008/R07)
