Islamic Development Bank Group Pledges $ 880 Million to support Development in Guinea

Jeddah, MINA – The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) has pledged US $ 880 million to support the National Plan for Economic and Social Development in Guinea 2016-2020, SPA reported.

In his address to the Consultative Group meeting in Paris to support the National Development Plan in Guinea on 16-17 November 2017, the Vice President of the Islamic Development Bank, Syed Agha, stressed on the Group’s commitment to strengthen partnership with Guinea and work with development partners, Arab coordination to achieve the objectives of the development plan in Guinea.

“The Bank is launching a new initiative to support its Member States, including Guinea.

The initiative aims to strengthen and expand the development impact to all Member States and to provide innovative Islamic products that enable the Bank Group to respond to the need of the Member States to meet challenges, including health ones.”, he said. (T/RS5/RS1)
