INDONESIA’ NGO AWG HOLD QURBAN SACRIFICIAL FOR GAZA

Jakarta, 21 September 2014 Dzulqa’dah 1435/15 (MINA) – The Indonesia NGO Aqsha Working Group (AWG) Sunday announced to open registration for Qurban sacrificial for Gaza, Palestine.

The Indonesia volunteers team will carry out the program directly in Gaza Strip including process of choosing, buying, slaughtering, and distributing. The qurban will be distributed to the needed around Gaza.

According to Chairman of AWG, Agus Sudarmaji to Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) said that AWG had opened the registration since the end of Ramadan. It was the fourth time the qurban program for Palestinians in Gaza with various number of qurban each year.

” The number of qurban every year depending on our promotion. There is still lack of awareness and commitment of the community in giving qurban to the Palestinian ” he said.

“Our goal in the program is to fullfil Allah’s command and establish brotherhood between Indonesia and Palestine,” said Agus.

He hoped that the program will continues every year with increasing number of qurban and increasing awareness from the community especially Indonesians.

According to information, the price of qurban (goat) is $325 and ox is $2,500.
