IBF 2018 Will Be Enlivened by Asmaul Husna Recital Competition

Jakarta, MINA – The Islamic Book Fair (IBF) 2018 which will take place at the Jakarta Convention Center on 18-22 April 2018 will certainly be more vibrant, with various events such as Asmaul Husna Recital Competition.

“Insya Allah (God Willing) the reading contest of Asmaul Husna will be held with the participants are members of the majelis taklim (a place to carry out teaching or study of Islam) from the Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek),” said IBF Field Coordinator Abdul Hakim, on the sidelines of get gathering between the team of Islamic Book Fair organizers and representatives of Al-Qur’an Learning Center (AQL), ​​in Jakarta, Wednesday (17/01).

He explained, Asmaul Husna reading competition is done through strict selection as the participants are required to make a video about their appearance in an event.

“The videos are sent to the IBF committee or through the AQL team. Of the 20 best participants who pass the selection or audition will be invited to the event of Islamic Book Fair to show their skill,” he explained.

He added, registration for participants can be done now with the deadline on March 20, 2018.

“Registration can be started and participants can contact the IBF team or the AQL team,” he said.

Abdul Hakim who is also the Vice Chairman of the Jakarta Book Publishers Association (IKAPI) added that the recital contest will be part of IBF 2018 activities devoted to Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) areas.

“The winners of the recital contest will get prize, either in the form of gift or money for the improvement of their skills,” he explained.

According to the Chairman of IBF Organizing Committee, M. Anis Baswedan, many events have been prepared by the committee to enliven the IBF 2018.

“The committee team has been given the assurance of the appearance of a number of leading authors such as Habiburrahman El-Shirazy, Asma Nadia, and Islamic preachers Ustadz Abdul Somad, Ustadz Bachtiar Nasir, and many more events to be held,” he said. (L/R04/RS5)
