Hundreds of Jewish Settlers Forced to Enter Al-Aqsa Mosque

Al-Quds, MINA – Hundreds of Jewish settlers forced their way into Al-Aqsa Mosque complex on Sunday. It happens quite often and troubles Muslims there.

“Israeli police closed Al-Mugharbah Gate in the compound after allowing 334 settlers (Jews) to pass it to the site,” the Jerusalem Religious Endowment Authority said in a statement, quoted by Anadolu Agency.

Although, there were religious activities at Al-Aqsa Mosque, but extremist Jews did not hesitate to occupy and enter third Muslim holy site.

They believe Al-Aqsa complex was built on ruins of ancient Jewish temples. They call Al-Aqsa is “Temple Mount”.

Moreover, Muslims who want to worship in Al-Aqsa are often hampered by Israeli security authorities. Israeli forces often close access to the mosque under various pretexts.

In February, for example, Israel had closed all gates to Al-Aqsa compound. The action was taken without giving any explanation or reason to Muslims there.

Then in Ramadhan, Israeli forces had expelled Muslim worshipers who were worshiping at Al-Aqsa Mosque. At that time, Israeli forces reportedly threatened to close Al-Aqsa in a long time if Muslims there refused to leave. (T/Sj/R04)
