Holding Tightly to The Qur’an

Allah has sent down the Qur’an, the glorious book as a guideline of human life in order to live purposeful, guided, and safely in the world and in the hereafter.

Because of that, the glory of our life depends on how do we honor, love, and practise the Qur’an in our daily life.

Allah says in the Qur’an That is to say :

فَٱسۡتَمۡسِكۡ بِٱلَّذِىٓ أُوحِىَ إِلَيۡكَ‌ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ صِرَٲطٍ۬ مُّسۡتَقِيمٍ۬ (٤٣) وَإِنَّهُ ۥ لَذِكۡرٌ۬ لَّكَ وَلِقَوۡمِكَ‌ۖ وَسَوۡفَ تُسۡـَٔلُونَ (٤٤)

Meaning: “So adhere to that which is revealed to you. Indeed, you are on a straight path. And indeed, it is a remembrance for you and your people, and you all are going to be questioned. (Az-Zukhruf [43]: 43-44).

In another verse in the Qur’an, Allah says That is to say :

إِنَّ هَـٰذَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ يَہۡدِى لِلَّتِى هِىَ أَقۡوَمُ وَيُبَشِّرُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَعۡمَلُونَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ أَنَّ لَهُمۡ أَجۡرً۬ا كَبِيرً۬ا (٩)

Means: “Verily this Qur’an gives guidance to the road straighter and give glad tidings to the believers who do pious deeds that for them there is a great reward. (Al-Isra [17]: 9).

On the other verses in the Qur’an also mentioned That is to say:

وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ مَا هُوَ شِفَآءٌ۬ وَرَحۡمَةٌ۬ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ‌ۙ وَلَا يَزِيدُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ إِلَّا خَسَارً۬ا (٨٢)

Means: “And we sent down of the Qur’an that which is healing and mercy for the believers, but it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss.” (Al-Isra [17]: 82).

For that, let us make the Qur’an as a source of blessing in our homes. Let us also educate our children to love the Qur’an as the of exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad SAW.

That is to say: “Educate thy children above three cases : (1) love the Prophet , (2) love the Prophet’s family, (3) loves reading Al Quran (hadith narrated by Ad- Dailami ).

Let us hold fast to the Qur’an as a guide of our life. We read all verses, we understand its contents and we resume practicing the teaching values of the Qur’an. May God Allah always bless and unite us all Muslims with the Qur’ans. Aamiin. (RS-2/RS05)
