Jakarta, MINA – The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that the majority of its citizens who were in Nepal have returned home.
The Director of Indonesian Citizen and Legal Entity Protection at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Judha Nugraha, stated that as of Sunday, a total of 74 Indonesians have successfully returned from Nepal via commercial flights.
“This Monday, two more Indonesian citizens are scheduled to fly home, while the remaining two will return to Indonesia on September 18,” Judha said in a written statement to the media on Monday.
According to Judha, the repatriation process was orderly and safe. The Ministry ensured that the return was facilitated optimally, including coordination with airlines and authorities in Nepal.

“With this, all Indonesian citizens who were in Nepal will be able to return home in the near future,” he added.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also affirmed its ongoing commitment to providing maximum protection to Indonesian citizens abroad. Coordination with Indonesian representatives in various countries continues to ensure that any citizen facing an emergency can receive immediate assistance.
In recent times, the Ministry has actively overseen the repatriation of Indonesian citizens from various countries facing emergency conditions, whether due to conflict, natural disasters, or other safety factors. This is part of the government’s responsibility to protect all its citizens, wherever they may be. []
