Rafah, 20 Jumadil Awwal 1438/18 February 2017 (MINA) – The Egyptian authorities on Saturday morning opened the Rafah border crossing exceptionally for the entry of stranded passengers to the Gaza Strip.

Hisham Adwan, director of the Palestinian side at the crossing, said that the Rafah crossing was opened for one day by Egypt in one direction for the return of passengers to Gaza, the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reported.
Adwan added that the Egyptian side allowed the transfer of bodies belonging to three Palestinian citizens who died during medical trips abroad.

Last week, the Egyptian authorities opened the crossing for three days in both directions for the movement of passengers from and into Gaza.
