The establishment of this center came in line with the increase number of Muslims, whether residents or asylum seekers and to meet their needs for religious care, the university said.
The Swiss authorities underlined the importance of religion in the lives of Muslims, which raises many questions among Muslims on how to deal with society and how the authorities deal with the requirements of Muslims and understand the motives and backgrounds, it added
In a statement to KUNA, Professor of Pastoral Care Isabelle Noth said the center does not accept missionary work among those who deal with them and those wishing to join these courses of different religions, as they will have to pass a test to be accepted, through which the university can identify the religious orientation, whether moderate or extremist.
The university’s media office refused to reveal the mechanism used to clarify the difference between a moderate and an extremist. (T/RS5/RS1)
