JORDANIAN ANTI-ISREL GROUPS DECLARE “FRIDAY OF ANGER” IN SUPPORT OF AL-AQSA
Amman, 4 Dzulhijjah 1436/17 September 2015 (MINA) – A consortium of pro-Palestine groups in Jordan announced recently a day of national anger in protest at Israeli attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque and the peaceful Muslim sit-inners.
The Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan announced its intent to stage a mass-rally in coordination with a number of youth and civil groups in the capital Amman following Friday prayers, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.
The Islamic Action Front, Jordan’s largest and most popular opposition party, said a national forum is set to be held Wednesday to support Al-Aqsa.
Meanwhile, Jordanian youth activists reportedly rallied in front of the headquarters of the Israeli embassy in Amman Tuesday afternoon to voice their firm rebuff of Israel’s preplanned terrorism against Al-Aqsa and Islamic holy places of worship.
A handful of other anti-occupation groups said a round of marches are set to kick off Friday in front of the mosques of Jordan’s northern metropolitan city of Irbid.
Over recent days, the Israeli occupation has stepped up vandalism against Muslims’ al-Aqsa and Occupied Jerusalem in what observers branded a barefaced attempt to divide the Mosque—the third holiest site in Islam—both spatially and temporally between Muslims and Jews.(T/P008/R04)
