THE STATEMENT OF JAMA’AH MUSLIMIN (HIZBULLAH) ON THE CLOSURE OF SEVERAL SITES AND YEMEN CRISIS

Responding to the Indonesia Ministry of communication and Information decision that was based on information from National Agency for Combating Terrorism (BNPT) to close several websites that were considered containing radicalism and also the crisis in Yemen, Syria and other countries, Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) as a a forum for Muslim unity that applies khilafah ala minhajin nubuwah (a caliphate system based on prophethood way) expresses the statements as follow:

  1. Call on Muslims all around the world, to unite and tighten the rank in one row in the form of caliphate system that follows the prophethood (Khilafah ’ala minhajn nubuwah). Allah warns on Ali Imran: 103, “And hold fast, all together by the rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves; and remember with gratitude Allah’s favour on you; for ye were enemies and He joined your hearts in love so that by His Grace, ye became brethren; and ye were on the brink of the pit of fire, and He saved you from it. Thus doth Allah make his signs clear to you: that ye may be guided.”
  2. Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) rejects any form of radicalism and extremism as contrary to Islamic values which is teaching moderate.”Thus have We made of you an Ummah justly balanced That ye might be witnesses over the nations and the Messenger a witness over yourselves; and We appointed the Qiblah to which thou wast used, only to test those who followed the Messenger from those who would turn on their heels (from the faith). Indeed it was (a change) momentous except to those guided by Allah. And never would Allah make your faith of no effect. For Allah is to all people most surely full of kindness, Most Merciful.” (Surah al-Baqara: 143) and mercy for all universe. “And We have sent you (O Muhammad SAW) not but as a mercy for the ‘Alamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists).”(Surah Al Anbiya: 107). In responding the closure of some websites, the government must act wisely, selectively and objectively concerning the rules that guarantee the freedom of expression as a consequence of democratic country.
  3. Call on all Islamic scholars anywhere, remind people not to be trapped by the Zionists and its allies’ scenario of Islamophobia which could weaken Muslims’ power. “Strongest among men in enmity to the Believers wilt thou find the Jews and Pagans; and nearest among them in love to the Believers wilt thou find those who say: “We are Christians:” because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant.” (Surah Al Maidah: 82).
  4. Every Muslim must promote Islamic morality which shows mercy for all universe (rahmatan lil alamin), promoting peace to people. “Let there arise out of you a band of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong; they are the ones to attain felicity.” (Surah Ali ‘Imran: 104).
  5. Call on all Indonesian people, especially Muslims not to be hostile to each other, among religions and between religious communities against the government. The core power of the nation lies in the unity in diversity (Bhineka Tunggal Ika).
