NINETEENTH DAY OF ISRAELI AGGRESSION, 815 PEOPLE DIED AND 5,240 OTHER WOUNDED
Gaza City, 27 Ramadan 1435/25 July 2014 (MINA) – Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza said until 19th day of Israeli occupation regime aggression against Gaza, the number of victims reached 815 people killed and 5,240 wounded, Friday.
United Nation’s school, UNRWA in Bait Hanoun, northern Gaza used as emergency shelter became target of Israeli occupation regime artillery that continued firing from across the border.
Palestinian Health Ministry revealed at least 15 people died while 200 others injured as result of the attack, Thursday.
MINA’s correspondent in Gaza reported that majority of the victims were women and children who took refuge there. It was because their homes had been destroyed since the Israeli occupation regime aggression in early July. The dead and injured victims were brought in three nearby hospitals in northern Gaza.
Israeli occupation regime Drones began targeting Indonesian Hospital in Bayt Lahiya, northern Gaza.
Muqarrabin Al-Fikri, Chairman of Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C) , Branch of Gaza reported that Israeli drone had fired rocket and hit Indonesian Hospital, on Wednesday afternoon.
“The drone attacks caused two big enough holes in a wall and destroy AC (air conditioner) in the mortuary room of Indonesian Hospital,” Fikri told Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA), Thursday afternoon.
Chairman of Hamas Political Bureau, Khalid Meshaal in a press conference said Hamas’ fighters always paid attention to ethics in battle. They prefered attacking soldiers than civilians.
“We always consider ethics in battle. The victims of Israeli occupation regime aggression were mostly civilians while the victims of Hamas resistance are Israeli soldiers. It is a real prove, ” Meshaal said in front of reporters.
Meanwhile, in Israeli side at least 12 soldiers killed in ground battles and dozen of others injured in a crossfire on Thursday Gaza time.
Al-Qassam Brigades, military wing of Hamas, killed eight Israeli soldiers while four other Zionist soldiers killed by al-Quds Brigades, military wing of Islamic Jihad movement.
Izzuddin al-Qassam Brigades stated number of Israeli soldiers killed by al-Qassam operation since ground war reached 68 soldiers.
MINA’s correspondent in Gaza said that the amount of the victims has not been calculated by number of soldiers killed in vehicles that were blown up by Palestinian fighters. The amount of victims in the vehicles were hidden by Israeli occupation regime authority.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called on all citizens in West Bank to come to hospitals and donate their blood for Gazans on Thursday.
Leaders and other citizens welcame the call. They went to the centers of donation, Palestinian news agency WAFA reported. (L/P04/Syt/E01)
