Gaza City, 6 Dhul Qaida 1434/13 September 2013 (MINA) – A number of Israeli tanks and bulldozers crossed on Thursday morning the Khan Younis eastern borders in the southern Gaza Strip in a limited way.
Local media reported that several bulldozers came out of the Abu Rida gate east of the town of Khuza’a and pushed into the agricultural lands of citizens, moving along the border.
Witnesses said the Israeli occupation forces are razing near Erez (Beit Hanoun) crossing in the northern Gaza Strip.
Israeli warplanes including F16s, Apache helicopters, and drones have been frequently flying the Gaza skies for the past few days, Gazan Al-Ray reported as monitored by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA).

This comes in the context of tightened Israeli, Egyptian border restrictions with the Egyptian military reported to have destroyed more than 90 percent of the tunnels along the border with Gaza, citing security concerns.
The campaign against tunnels put the Gaza Strip at a tipping crisis point as the entry of fuel, building materials, food stuffs among others used to come from Egypt has not been possible.
Two Egyptian tanks cross Gaza border line for 1st time
Meanwhile two Egyptian Tanks also crossed for the first time Thursday evening the barbed-wire fence into the Gaza Strip.

Local media reported said the tanks invaded for the first time this line and walked on the road adjacent to the concrete wall erected by the Egyptian authorities on the border with the Gaza Strip years ago.
“Masked black-clad gunmen topped tanks while a Verna car driven by a masked militant was going along in between,” it added.
The armored tanks headed east towards the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing closed since two days.
The Egyptian army blew up a tunnel against Salah al-Din Gate near the border with the Gaza Strip.

The Egyptian army recently sent reinforcements along the border with the Gaza Strip where tanks and artillery neared the border in an unprecedented development.
The Egyptian army has destroyed most of the underground tunnels used to bring food and goods and fuel to the Gaza Strip which has been under an Israeli blockade since more than 6 years. (T/P01/E1).
