Indonesian MER-C Calls Govt to Take Action on Solidarity Pressing Israel
Jakarta, MINA – Indonesian NGO which concern on humanity in the field of medical treatment, Medical Emergency Rescue-Committee (MER-C) urged the Indonesian government to take action on solidarity pressing Israel to stop expanding illegal settlements on Palestinian land in the West Bank.
“We hope that the Indonesian government can carry out a rally of solidarity, especially among the OIC to be able to pressure Israel,” said the MER-C Presidium Dr. Sarbini Abdul Murad to MINA, Wednesday.
MER-C also strongly condemned the recent Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip which killed dozens of civilians and injured hundreds. MER-C called on the United Nations and the International Community to be able to pressure Israel to quell their brutal passions.
In addition, MER-C is also concerned and condolences to the victims in Gaza, Palestine, where they will also face winter soon.
“We also have assistance programs for refugees or victims who need blankets, food, medicines, and so on. So the MER-C program there is a humanitarian program, a program for victims and also the Indonesian hospital development program in Gaza, “said the MER-C Presidium.
“So, if the community wants to help one can, it can be for humanity or for hospitals,” he added.
