President Abbas Ends All Agreements with Israel
Ramallah, MINA – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said on Thursday night as the end of all agreements signed between Palestinians and Israel.
“We will not surrender to orders and application of prosthetic limbs on the ground with violence, especially in Jerusalem,” he said. “Everything done by the occupying country (Israel) is illegal and invalid,” Abbas said at a meeting of Palestinian leaders in Ramallah, quoted from Wafa on Friday, July 26.
The demolition of 10 buildings and eviction of Palestinian civilians in Sur Baher neighborhood, Al-Quds (East Jerusalem) on Monday, July 22 caused Palestinian Authority to end employment agreement with Israel.
Wafa further reported that the formation of a committee to implement the decision as requested by the Central Council of Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).
“Our hands have been and still expanding into a just, comprehensive and lasting peace. But this does not mean that we accept the status quo or give up on occupation steps. Palestine and Jerusalem are not for sale or bargaining, “said President Abbas.
He stressed that there would be no peace, no security, and no stability in the region and no matter how much time was needed, the disgusting occupation would be defeated and the future of Palestinian state would be independent.
Abbas thanked all friendly countries and brothers who supported Palestinian people in international forums. However, he added that “we want to see practical steps and implementation of UN resolutions in the field,” he said.
According to him, the time has come to implement the Cairo 2017 agreement for intra-Palestinian reconciliation mediated by Egypt.
“We do not want to return to the tragic results of Moscow meeting when Hamas refused to recognize Palestine Liberation Organization, which placed it in line with Israel and the United States on this issue,” he stressed. (T/Sj/P2)
