Israel to Seize 139 Dunums in Ramallah for Settlement Project

Ramallah, MINA – The Land Research Center in Occupied Jerusalem has revealed that the Israeli ministry of finance issued the permits for a settlement expansion plan aimed at annexing 139 dunums of Palestinian land in Deir Dibwan town, east of Ramallah.

In a statement on Thursday (10/1), the Center said that the appropriated land, according to the Israeli plan, is located within the territory of Deir Dibwan town, PIC reported.

The Israeli plan clearly shows that the Israeli occupation authority aims to connect the illegal settlements of Ma’ale Michmash and Mitzpeh Danny with each other, according to the Center.

About 48 dunums of the seized land will be earmarked for the construction of public facilities, 26 dunums for a new road, 15 dunums for parks and hiking areas, and the remaining dunums for parking spaces and commercial structures.(R/R04/P2)
