The winners of the 2018 GSI Football Competition Will Practice at the Juventus Club

Jakarta, MINA –   East Java, the team winning in the national level Galasiswa Indonesia (GSI) Football Competition in 2018, is ready to train at Juventus club, the leading professional club of the Italian League and European Champions League.

“As the first champion, we give this team a chance to be trained by a professional club, Juventus, in Turin, Italy for three weeks,” said Minister of Education and Culture (Mendikbud), Muhadjir Effendy at the Madya Stadium, Glora Bung Karno, Jakarta, Saturday ( 10/20)

By practicing at Juventus, the Minister of Education and Culture wants these children to learn a lot from international soccer players. the goal is that these children can make achievements at the world level in the future.

Responding to this, Dio Rizky Syahputra, a player from East Java Province, said he was ready to be trained by the Juventus club.

“Glad to be first place, can reach the target. We are ready to train at Juventus, “said Dio who won the golden shoes as the top scorer, throughout the season.

Dio managed to score 20 goals in this championship series. Six of them were netted against opponents at the national level GSI competition.

He claimed to be confident of being part of the Under-16 National Team. For students born in 2004, the GSI gave him space to show his talent and interest in soccer.

“I want to bring Indonesia to the World Cup. I am 100 percent sure, “said the eighth grade student of SMP Negeri 2 Sidoarjo, who was able to realize his dream of becoming a professional soccer player.  (T/Sj/RS5)
