Makkah’s Zamzam Well to Be Renovated
Jeddah, MINA – Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud has approved a project for renovating Zamzam water well.
The project features construction of five crossovers, of eight meters width and 120 m length, said Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahmam Al-Sudais, KUNA reported, citing the statement of the General Chairman of the Holy Mosque affairs to the Saudi Al-Ekhbariya television channel, on Saturday.
The well surrounding will be sterilized, he said, indicating that sterilized, highly permeable gravel will be used.
The project execution will last for seven months, ending ahead of the next fasting month of Ramadan. (T/RS5/RS1)
