575 New Members of Indonesian Parliament Inaugurated

Jakarta, MINA – Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) together with the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) and the Regional Representative Council (DPD) held the last joint plenary session for the 2014-2019 term while inaugurating 575 new members of Indonesian Parliament in 2019.

The inauguration ceremony began at 09.15 to 11:40 a.m. in the Indonesian Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta on Tuesday, October 1.

House of Representatives Secretary General, Indra Iskandar in his statement to the media said in anticipation of a student demonstration today, elected- Parliament members who would undergo the inauguration were asked to be present at 07.00 a.m. breakfast and other preparations remain on schedule.

The series of inauguration events began at 09.15 a.m., all elected members of Parliament entered the room. After that, Indonesian President, Vice President, Chairman of Indonesian KPU entered the plenary meeting room.

The Plenary Session starts exactly at 10:00 a.m. with the oath or pledge of members of the Indonesian Parliament. After that, the plenary session was opened by the House of Representative Leadership. (T/Sj/P2)
