Ramallah, MINA – Nearly 15,000 Palestinians have been arrested by the Israeli occupation forces over the past couple of years.

According to the Committee of Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners, dozens of Palestinians are chased down and arrested by the Israeli forces on a daily basis under the security pretext, PIC reported.

The committee kept record of the abduction of 14,789 Palestinians since early October 2015.

63% of those arrested in October are from the West Bank; 33,5% from Occupied Jerusalem. The list also includes hundreds of Gazans and Palestinians from territories occupied in 1948.

Head of the Studies and Documentation Department at the committee, Abdul Nasser Farawna, said all of those detained by the Israeli forces have been subjected to a form of psychological or/and physical torture and mistreatment.
