Istanbul, 20 Ramadan 1435/18 July 2014 (MINA) – People from different countries across the world have participated in anti-Israel demonstrations to condemn Tel Aviv’s atrocities against Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Thousands of Turkish people took to the streets of Istanbul on Thursday to call for international action to stop the Israeli attacks, Press TV quoted by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA) as reporting, Friday.

Pakistani protesters also staged a similar demonstration to slam the Israeli onslaught on the besieged enclave.
In the Far East, South Korean protesters marched on Israel’s embassy in Seoul, holding placards denouncing the Israeli airstrikes in Gaza. Also, demonstrators in Malaysia’s capital, Kuala Lumpur, gathered around the Palestinian embassy in solidarity with the Gazans.

Similar demonstrations were held in other countries during the past week, including El Salvador, France, Venezuela, Spain, England and the United States to denounce the Tel Aviv regime’s offensive against the blockaded coastal sliver.

Israel has killed at least 247 people and injured nearly 1,900 others since it began its latest onslaught against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip on July 8. About a third of the Palestinian fatalities are women and children.

Israel also launched a ground invasion in the Gaza Strip on Thursday after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed the army to push the aggression against Gaza into a new stage.

Gaza has been blockaded since 2007, a situation that has caused a decline in the standard of living, unprecedented levels of unemployment, and unrelenting poverty. (T/P012/E01)
