Women’s Boat To Gaza To Reach The Strip On Saturday

Gaza, 26 Dzulhijjah 1437/28 September 2016 (MINA) – The Popular committee to break the siege on Gaza said that the women’s boat to Gaza is expected to reach the besieged strip of Gaza on Saturday.

Coordinator for the committee Ala Batta said that Zaytouna and Amal ships would reach Gaza next Saturday with 13 female activists from 10 different countries on board, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reported.

He renewed calls for providing the flotilla with international protection in light of the Israeli threats to the activists.

Meanwhile, head of the International Commission to Break the Siege on Gaza, Zaher Al-Birawi, said that Amal-Hope II entered Messina port to join her sister Zaytouna-Oliva in the all-women’s anti-siege journey to Gaza.

The two sister boats will depart on Wednesday for their final destination, the shores of Gaza. The original Amal-Hope remained in Barcelona due to mechanical difficulties. (T/P008/R04)
