The minister added that Indonesia is mostly interested in military and technical cooperation with Russia, while Jakarta could offer a range of products to its Russian partners.

“Both of us hope that we can increase [bilateral trade] reaching almost $3 billion, $2.7-2.8 [billion], because we have a target to increase [trade turnover] up to $5 billion for the next few years,” Lukita said on the sidelines of a Russian-Indonesian business forum in Moscow.

“From Russia to Indonesia, it is [deliveries] like Sukhoi [aircraft], but from Indonesia it is palm oil, machinery and then food — coffee, tea, tropical fruits,” Lukita added.

Lukita told Sputnik that Indonesia mulls purchase of eight Su-35 aircraft.
