Unprovoked Indian Firing Kills 7 Pakistani Sodiers

Islamabad, 15 Safar 1438/15 November 2016 (MINA) – Seven soldiers of Pakistani army were killed in unprovoked firing by Indian forces across the Line of Control (LoC) at Bhimber sector, KUNA quoted a military source as saying on Monday.

According to Pakistan military’s Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), seven soldiers embraced shahadat (martyrdom) at LOC in Bhimber sector in cross fire LOC violation by Indian troops.

“Pakistani troops while responding to Indian unprovoked firing targeted Indian posts effectively,” it added. Meanwhile Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson, Nafees Zakaria strongly condemned the “continuous unprovoked firing”.

Pakistan’s Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb in a statement said that Pakistani troops are giving befitting response to the Indian provocation and aggression on the LoC.

Earlier last week, Pakistan lodged strong protests with India as well as with the UN military observers over targeting of civilian populations in the Indian cross border shelling and firing that has killed at least 26 civilians and injured 107 others so far. (T/R07/R01)
