Palestinian Concencus Government to Meet in Gaza Next Monday

Ramallah, MINA – The Palestinian consensus government is scheduled to hold its weekly meeting next Monday in Gaza Strip, spokesman for the government Youssef Mahmoud revealed.

The decision was taken after consultations between Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah and President Mahmoud Abbas, he pointed out, PIC reported.

Hamdallah is to arrive in Gaza next Monday along with his government’s ministers to take office in the Strip, he affirmed.

The consensus government is making all possible efforts to achieve the Palestinian people’s will and to carry out its national duties mainly ending the internal division and restoring the national unity, according to the official.

The Palestinian Prime Minister has also declared in a Facebook post that he will visit Gaza next Monday accompanied with all the government bodies and security services.

Earlier last week, Hamas Movement announced the dissolution of the administrative committee in Gaza and invited the consensus government to assume its responsibilities and hold general elections.
