Raamallah, November 20, 2016 (WAFA) – Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on Sunday upon the international community and the United Nations organizations, on top of which the UNESCO, to provide protection to the Palestinian academic institutions.
This came after Israeli forces last night raided the campus of al-Quds University in Abu Dis town, east of Jerusalem, where they attacked and ransacked a book store organized by the students’ s of the university.
According to WAFA, the attack came only one day after Israeli troops raided the campus of Palestine Technical University (Kadoorie) in the northern West Bank city of Tulkarm.
The troops smashed the gates of the campus and stole electronic materials and archives from the university.

Since 2000, Israeli military have raided the campus of Palestine Technical University for over 85 times, triggering clashes with students and opening fire at them. (T/R07/R01)
