Pakistani Entrepreneurs Want to Strengthen Business with Indonesia
Jakarta, MINA – Pakistani entrepreneurs want to strengthen business relations with Indonesia, for that, President of Rawalpindi Pakistan Chamber of Commerce (RCCI) Malik Shahid Saleem plans to visit Indonesia.
“We want to be more actively involved in exchanging business delegations and visiting each other at trade shows in both countries,” Anadolu Agency quoted Malik as saying when meeting with Indonesian Ambassador to Pakistan Iwan Amri, Monday.
Iwan said that currently, total value of trade between Indonesia and Pakistan for the period of January-September 2018 has been achieved 2.3 billion US.
He added Indonesia’s surplus of 1.3 billion US through the non-oil and gas sector of 1.2 billion US, oil and gas of 83 US million.
“We want to encourage sustainable, balanced and mutually beneficial in proportion of bilateral trade to the capacity of each supply and demand,” Ambassador Iwan said.
In line with that, Indonesian Embassy in Islamabad supports the desire of RCCI to visit Indonesia to directly see the potential of cooperation.
According to Ambassador Iwan, several sectors of cooperation that are considered to have good opportunities are joint ventures of Indonesian and Pakistani companies, among others, in the fields of construction, public housing, agriculture-based industry, development of industrial areas, and hospitality.
Ambassador Iwan also stated that Indonesia had unilaterally provided an additional zero tariff facility for 20 Pakistani products in which textile products, and ethanol, were one that received zero percent tariff. (T/Sj)
