Gaza, 29 Rabi’ul Akhir 1436/19 February 2015 (MINA) – The Palestinian minister of public works and housing said Tuesday that the ministry has laid a cornerstone for the reconstruction of a residential tower block in Gaza City.
Mufid al-Hasayneh said: “The rebuilding of this tower is a significant event and is the start of the rebuilding of all towers destroyed during the war”
“The ministry is continuing its efforts to distribute aid money to people whose houses were partially damaged, and hand out mobile homes and construction materials,” Ma’an News Agency quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.
Several multistory residential buildings in Gaza City were targeted by Israeli forces during the war, killing dozens of civilians.

Israeli attacks on Gaza during the 50-day war on the Strip last summer killed over 2,200 Palestinians, mostly civilians, and some 100,000 people whose homes were destroyed or damaged remain displaced. (T/P010/P3)
