King Salman and President Jokowi Attend Signing Joint Declaration, MoUs, Cooperation Agreements

Jakarta, 03 Jumadil Akhir 1438/02 March 2017, (MINA) – The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Indonesian President Joko Widodo attended at Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday a signing ceremony of a joint declaration, memoranda of understanding and cooperation programs between the governments of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Indonesia.
A joint declaration on raising the level of the chairmanship of the Joint Committee was signed by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Nizar bin Obaid Madani and Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Lestari Priansari Marsudi, SPA reported.
A memorandum of understanding regarding the Saudi Fund for Development to finance development projects was signed by Deputy Managing Director Eng. Yousef bin Ibrahim Al-Bassam and Indonesian Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati.
A memorandum of understanding for cultural cooperation was signed by Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Altoraifi and Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture Dr. Muhajir Effendi.
A cooperation program in the field of small and medium enterprises sector was signed by Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf and Indonesian Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Anak Agung Gede Ngurah Puspayoga.
A memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the fields of health was signed by Minister of Transport Sulaiman bin Abdullah Al-Hamdan and Indonesian Health Minister Nila F. Moeloek.
A memorandum of understanding for the operational framework for air transport was signed by Saudi Minister of Transport Sulaiman bin Abdullah Al-Hamdan and Indonesian Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi.
A cooperation program for scientific and educational cooperation was signed by Saudi Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Issa and Indonesian Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education Muhammad Nasir.
A memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of Islamic Affairs was signed by Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Saleh bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Sheikh and Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs Lukman Hakim Saifuddin.
A memorandum of understanding in the field of marine fisheries and fisheries was signed by Saudi Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Al-Toraifi and Indonesian Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Susi Pudjiastuti.
A cooperation program in the commercial field was signed by Saudi Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf and Indonesian Minister of Trade Enggartiasto Lukito.
A cooperation agreement in the field of combating crime was signed by Saudi Director of Public Security General Othman bin Nasser and Chief of Indonesia’s police Tito Carnavian.
Indonesian Medal of Honor
Following the signing ceremony, President Jokowi decorated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques with a medal of Star of the Republic of Indonesia which is the highest medal in the Republic in recognition of the King Salman’s efforts in various fields.
Then, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud left the Presidential Palace.
The signing and decoration ceremonies were attended by a number of princes, ministers and officials. (T/RS05/RS01)
