Ramallah, MINA – Israeli occupation forces (IOF) raided various areas of the West Bank in the early hours of Tuesday, just hours after the release of hundreds of Palestinian detainees as part of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.

Local sources reported that the IOF raided Al-Jami’ah Street in Nablus City, as well as the Askar and Balata refugee camps east of the city, though there were no immediate reports of arrests.

IOF vehicles also raided the towns of Tubas, Tamun, and Tulkarem, patrolling their streets without making any detentions.

On Monday, Palestinians in the West Bank received and celebrated dozens of detainees after their release under the exchange agreement between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli occupation government.

Israeli forces had raided several of the detainees’ homes over the last two days and warned their families not to hold celebrations or gatherings for their relatives following their release.

According to the Palestinian Detainees Society, the Israeli occupation released 1,968 Palestinian detainees on Monday, including 250 individuals serving long and life sentences and 1,718 others who were abducted from Gaza during the war.[]
