Israeli Court Sentences Two 20-Year-Old Palestinians To Prison Terms

Al-Khalil, 22 Rabi’ul Awwal 1438/22 December 2016 (MINA) – The Israeli Ofer military court on Wednesday sentenced two Palestinian youngsters from al-Khalil’s northern town of Beit Ummar to actual imprisonment in Israeli jails.

The Ofer court sentenced 20-year-old Ibrahim Ikhleil, incarcerated for 23 months running, to a 26-month prison-term and a fine of 6,000 shekels, the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reported.

20-year-old Muhannad al-Alami was also sentenced by the Ofer court to 34 months in jail and a fine of up to 4,000 shekels.

Arrested three months ago, al-Alami is an ex-prisoner who had been held for at least one year and a half in Israeli lock-ups.  (T/P008/R07)
