Israeli Army Steps Up Military Measures in Al-Khalil

Al-Khalil, 18 Muharram 1438/19 October 2016 (MINA) -The Israeli occupation army on Tuesday evening intensified its military measures in Al-Khalil city and nearby areas.

Eyewitnesses said, the Israeli army deployed a large number of its troops in Kharsa Triangle, south of Dura town in Al-Khalil, where they occupied the rooftops of homes and spread in different areas near the entrance to the town.

The Israeli army also intensified its presence along road 60, south of Al-Khalil, after an Israeli bus boarded by settlers was allegedly attacked with stones, the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reported.

The army also claimed that one settler suffered injuries when Palestinian young men stoned him east of Al-Khalil city.

Meanwhile, Israeli helicopters were seen overflying the eastern, western and southern areas of Al-Khalil city during the early evening hours on Tuesday.(T/P008/R07)
