ISRAEL VIOLATE CEASEFIRE AGAIN BY BOMBARDING RAFAH

Gaza, 6 Shawwal 1435/2 August 2014 (MINA) – Israeli occupation regime soldiers violated temporary ceasefire by bombarding Rafah, south of Gaza. The attack caused dozen people killed and more than 200 others injured.

The attack occurred about five hours after the beginning of ceasefire between Palestine and Israel occupation regime. They agreed a ceasefire for 72 hours starting on Friday at 08:00 Gaza time, Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) Correspondent reported from Gaza.

Israeli occupation regime soldiers tried to enter east of Rafah on Friday at 02.00 early morning Gaza time. They entered till 2.5 km from border line. It happened After Secretary General of UN and US Secretary of State announced ceasefire for 72 hours, Thursday afternoon New York time.

Israeli occupation regime soldiers had killed four Palestinians in eastern Rafah border, two hours before temporary casefire, MINA’s correspondent reported.

Israeli occupation regime soldiers also destroyed an ambulance causing three Gazans died in Al-Garbiyah, Rafah.

Palestinian fighters responded the Israeli attack by penetrating Israeli occupation regime military base in Karim Abu Salim. They kidnapped a soldier and killed two soldiers.

Benjamin Netanyahu accused Hamas of violating the temporary ceasefire, Israeli daily Yedioth Aharonoth reported quoting Israeli Prime Minister. However, the statement was denied by Palestinian resistance movement of Hamas through their spokesman, Musa Abu Marzuq. He stated Al-Qassam fighters kidnapped Israeli soldier before the ceasefire began.

“Zionist Israel want to violate the ceasefire by entering Gaza and attacking Gazans. Our fighters block them at 07:00 Gaza time and the battle is inevitable,” said Abu Marzuq.

Israeli media reported that Israeli informed the United Nations that the temporary ceasefire had ended. There was no ceasefire again after Palestinian fighters captured an officer with rank of Second Lieutenant from Givati Brigade , Hadar Goldin.

Israel had declared the entire colony of Israel bordering with Gaza, including Karim Abu Salim (Kerem Shalom) crossing was a closed military zone.Israel suggested Israeli illigal settlers remained in their homes.

Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza called for international help to evacuate thousands of civilians trapped by Israeli occupation regime bombardment in Rafah. The bombardment caused at least 50 people died and more than 200 others injured.

Number of civilian casualties from Israeli aggression in Gaza since 26 days ago were 1,562 people died and 8830 others injured. Majority of them were children and women.

Israel often violated ceasefire agreed by both parties. Previously, the Israeli air strike caused death of 19 people from one family in Khunza, Gaza, on Saturday. It occurred before a ceasefire ended (8:00 to 20:00 local time). (L / K01/Syt/E01)
