Hebron, 13 Rabi’ul Awwal 1436/4 January 2015 (MINA) –  The Israeli authorities Sunday handed local residents of Idhna, west of Hebron, a notice to remove four Palestinian-owned commercial and agricultural structures in the village, according to local sources.

Locals said that, Israeli army force and the Israeli Civil Administration broke into the village and handed local residents a notice informing them about an Israeli military order to remove four commercial and agricultural structures, Wafa News Agency quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

The village is located in Area C, under full Israeli military and administrative control, where issuance of construction permits is strictly limited.

Israel frequently issues orders for cessation of construction to Palestinians living in Area C under the pretext of building without a permit, forcing many of them to embark on building without obtaining a permit.

The incident is not the first of its kind, in the last few months; Israel has repeatedly targeted farmers in the villages by either issuing demolition orders or closing roads to prevent farmers from accessing their land.

In September, Israeli forces closed agricultural roads, which are the linking point between Idhna’s farmers and their lands. Such measures deny Palestinian farmers their right to free movement and access to their property. (T/P008/P3)
