Israel Destroyed 64 Homes And Facilities In January

Gaza, 4 Jumadil Awwal 1437/12 Februari 2016 (MINA) – Statistics released by the Land Research Centre (LRC) show that the Israeli authorities destroyed 64 Palestinian homes and facilities in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem in January.

The LRC also documented the displacement of 180 Palestinians, including 93 children, due to the demolition of their homes, Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting, Friday (12/2).

According to Quds Press, the LRC said that ten of the homes destroyed were built from concrete and bricks and the others were built from other materials.

The demolitions were carried out under heavy military presence, LRC noted.

The report stated that 340 Palestinians, including 123 children, were affected by the demolitions, which included seven barns used to house 500 animals.

The Israeli authorities demolished 645 homes last year, displacing 2,180 people, including 1,108 children.(T/P008/R07)
