Ashrawi Calls on Austria to Admit Palestinian State
Ramallah, MINA – Member of Executive Committee of Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Hanan Ashrawi on Friday called on Austria to recognize Palestinian State and proactively create peace.
During a meeting with Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl in Vienna, Ashrawi revealed about the latest developments in politics, Israeli economic and political aggression against Palestinian people.
Both also discussed the dangers posed by Israeli efforts supported by the United States to weaken international law and solutions of the two countries. Wafa report reported quoted by MINA.
Ashrawi welcomed position voiced by most members of European Union about the need to respect international law and solutions of the two countries in an effort to bring peace.
“We call on all international figures to be responsible and committed to international law, create justice and peace in defending international rule-based order and inalienable rights in freedom, peace, security and prosperity of Palestinian people,” she said.
Ashrawi also called on Austria and members of international community to take proactive measures of responsibility for Israeli violations, also calling on Austria to recognize Palestine.
“Recognizing Palestinian state will be a positive and strong step that protects the prospect of peace and reflects commitment to human rights, position of international law, and determines the fate of Palestinian people.” (T/Sj/R04)
